About the event
Macarons have a reputation for being impossible. They aren't, once someone shows you what the batter should look like. In this hands on class, Chef Keegan Rodgers of The Lakehouse Bakery walks you through every step: whipping the meringue, folding the batter to just the right flow, piping even shells, and baking them with smooth tops and proper feet. You'll fill them with chocolate ganache and Swiss buttercream, and learn how to change colors and flavors with cocoa, freeze dried fruit and spices. Your macarons, a full recipe packet and a piping template go home with you.
Everything is provided: ingredients, equipment, and recipes to take home. Bring an apron.
Class is held at the LISD TECH Center in Adrian. Seats are limited to 16.
