Canning & Preserving — Capture the Flavors of the Season!

There’s nothing more satisfying than opening a jar of homemade jam or pickles and tasting the fresh flavors of the harvest all year long. In this hands-on afternoon class, you’ll learn the essentials of safe and delicious home canning.

Working in small groups, you’ll prepare and preserve two seasonal recipes — such as a bright fruit jam and a zesty quick pickle. We’ll cover the canning process step-by-step, including equipment, safety guidelines, and expert tips to ensure success in your own kitchen.

What you’ll take away:

  • A detailed recipe packet with instructions for both water-bath canning and refrigerator preserves
